This initiative comes as part of Kuwait University’s efforts to raise student awareness about the dangers of drug abuse and its devastating impact on individuals and society. It also reflects the University’s commitment to the directives of His Highness the Amir—may Allah protect him—calling for the protection of youth and strengthening their intellectual and behavioral resilience against risks that threaten their future.
The event witnessed a large turnout of students, along with distinguished guests and representatives from several ministries and public and private entities, underscoring the importance of collective societal responsibility in combating drug proliferation and reinforcing positive values within the university community.
The initiative featured a range of awareness activities, visual presentations, and focused information on methods of enticement, preventive strategies, and safe approaches to dealing with drug-related risks. It also highlighted national efforts across various sectors to combat this issue. Students were offered the opportunity to engage, ask questions, and participate actively, adding a valuable educational and informative dimension to the event.
At the conclusion of the initiative, the Deanship of Student Affairs expressed pride in the strong student participation, affirming that the University will continue to organize impactful initiatives that contribute to building an informed generation capable of confronting challenges. The Deanship also emphasized that prevention begins with knowledge, and that raising youth awareness remains the first line of defense in protecting society from this harmful phenomenon.
