As Part of International Academic Cooperation Kuwait University Participates in the Global Criminology Conference 2025 Under the Theme “Transformations of Crime in the Digital Age”

Kuwait University organized the KICRA Global Criminology Conference 2025, the first conference of its kind in the field of crime and criminological sciences at both the regional and international levels, under the theme “Transformations of Crime in the Digital Age.” The conference brought together a distinguished group of experts and academics from various countries and was held at Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Cultural Centre.

Faculty member Dr. Sana Abdulatif Abdullah Al-Saleh, from the Department of Biological Sciences – Forensic Science Program at the College of Science, Kuwait University, participated in the conference activities as part of one of the scientific panel discussions, which focused on the future of crime in the digital world and the associated research and applied challenges.

During the session, participants discussed the role of modern technology in the evolution of criminal behavior and explored ways to employ digital forensic evidence in supporting criminal justice. The session also featured an exchange of expertise among participants regarding the latest scientific methodologies in crime analysis and prevention.

The conference organizers commended Dr. Sana Al-Saleh’s scholarly contributions, emphasizing the importance of integrating academic expertise with professional practice to enhance the capabilities of law enforcement institutions and promote scientific research in the region.

It is worth noting that the conference was organized by the Public Authority for Youth in cooperation with local and international institutions. It brought together researchers, academics, and specialists from around the world, as well as from Kuwait University, with the aim of fostering scholarly dialogue and expanding research collaboration networks in the fields of criminology and criminal justice.
