Previous board Member of the Kuwaiti Human Rights Society; a member of a number of civil NGOs such as Women Cultural and Social Society, Graduate Society, and others. Alkhateeb is a founding member of Sout Alkuwait a pressure group that works to sustain the principles of the Kuwaiti Constitution in the society, Group 29 a humanitarian group that works on a number of pressing Humanitarian issues, mainly the issue of the Stateless in Kuwait, and The Platform for the Defense of the Stateless of Kuwait. As a political Activist, Alkhateeb managed an electoral campaign for Dr. Saad Bin Tafla in 2006 and worked with Dr.Aseel Al-Awadi’s campaign during both the electoral years of 2008 and 2009. As a humanitarian activist, Alkhateeb lobbies for a number of critical humanitarian issues in Kuwait, most importantly the issue of Women’s rights, Statelessness, expatriate conditions, and domestic workers conditions in Kuwait and the Gulf. Alkhateeb was a weekly columnist at Alqabas Newspaper,  Al-Jareeda Newspaper, Awan Newspaper (all are Kuwaiti newspapers) and currently is writing a weekly column with Al-Quds Al-Arabi Newspaper (published in London) and Alhurra Newspaper (published in Dubai). Alkhateeb is a published Translator with the National Council for Culture, Arts and Letters in Kuwait.

I Taught at Kuwait University from 2003 and on. I also taught a Drama course at the Kuwait High Institute of Dramatic Arts and a language course at Open Arab University of Kuwait.
