In Support of Student Talents College of Science Holds the Experimental Final Qualifying Rounds of the Kuwait National Robotics Championship at The Scientific Center

The College of Science at Kuwait University organized the experimental final qualifying rounds of the The Kuwait National Robotics Championship at The Scientific Center On this occasion, the Acting Dean of the College of Science at Kuwait University, Prof. Haidar Sayed Jawad Behbehani, stated that the competitive qualifying rounds of the Kuwait National Championship for the VEX Robotics Competition and the Aerial Drones Competition contributed significantly to highlighting outstanding student capabilities and talents in the fields of robotics, engineering, and programming. He noted that the competitions reflected an advanced level of scientific and technical readiness among the participants.
In a press statement, Prof. Behbehani explained that these qualifying rounds enable student teams to advance to the final stage of the championship, scheduled to be held in February. He pointed out that the competitions demonstrated a high level of innovation, teamwork, and systematic thinking.
He added that hosting the experimental final qualifying rounds prior to the official championship—organized in cooperation with The Scientific Center and the Youth Public Authority, and supported by the private sector as strategic partners including Zain Kuwait and Al-Sayer Group, with sponsorship from Warba Bank, and educational partners Kuwait Technical College and the Kuwait College of Science and Technology —comes within the framework of joint national efforts to support students and motivate them to excel in the fields of science, technology, and innovation.
Prof. Behbehani further indicated that the Kuwait National Robotics Championship is considered one of the leading educational initiatives that contribute to preparing a generation capable of keeping pace with global technological developments. The championship enhances students’ skills in problem-solving and critical thinking, in alignment with the State’s direction toward investing in human capital.
In conclusion, Prof. Behbehani emphasized Kuwait University’s commitment to supporting such distinguished scientific events and strengthening institutional partnerships that contribute to the development of the educational process and the preparation of qualified national cadres capable of competing both locally and internationally.
