Kuwait University Concludes the “Comprehensive Training Program in Interpersonal Skills” by Honoring Distinguished Members of the Ministry of Defense, Emphasizing the Importance of Security Awareness in Shaping Future Leaders

In affirmation of the ongoing collaboration between Kuwait University and the Ministry of Defense in the field of training and awareness, the Community Service and Continuing Education Center at Kuwait University organized the closing ceremony of the Comprehensive Training Program in Interpersonal Skills for members of the Ministry of Defense. The event took place on Sunday, July 27, 2025, at Sabah Al-Salem University City, with the aim of enhancing security awareness as a national responsibility and preparing trainers capable of shaping future leadership.
The ceremony was held in the presence of Prof. Abdullah Al-Mutawa, Vice President for Academic Support Services, Dr. Hamed Al-Fraih, Assistant Vice President for Community Service and Libraries, Ms. Etemad Al-Kandari, Acting Director of the Community Service and Continuing Education Center, alongside several academic staff members and instructors involved in the program.
Representing the Military Education Authority of the Ministry of Defense were Major General – rank Colonel Staff Mohammad Al-Asousi, Head of Courses and Academic sabbatical branch Division, and Colonel Staff Nasser Al-Baghli, Senior Officer for University Studies, Colleges, and Institutes.
Dr. Hamed Al-Fraih emphasized that the closing ceremony marked the culmination of a comprehensive training program designed for Ministry of Defense personnel. The program comprised six specialized courses: Effective Communication, Time Management, Certified Trainer Preparation, Administrative Skills and Team Building, and Public Relations Etiquette. He commended the active and fruitful participation of Ministry of Defense officers throughout the sessions.
On her part, Ms. Etemad Al-Kandari, Acting Director of the Community Service and Continuing Education Center, stated that the closing ceremony was held to honor an elite group of distinguished personnel from the Ministry of Defense who had successfully completed a series of purposeful training courses. She highlighted that genuine investment lies in human capital, and that continuous development is the pathway to excellence and national service. She further noted that communication is not merely a skill, but a cornerstone of successful professional relationships, while time management forms the foundation of achievement and discipline.
Ms. Al-Kandari added that security awareness is a national obligation requiring vigilance and continuous alertness. Preparing competent trainers paves the way for knowledge transfer and the cultivation of future leaders. She lauded the remarkable accomplishments of the Ministry of Defense participants, underscoring their pursuit of excellence as a vital force in safeguarding the nation and embodying the values of dedication and discipline.
At the conclusion of the event, Dr. Hamed Al-Fraih, Ms. Etemad Al-Kandari, and representatives of the Military Education Authority of the Ministry of Defense honored the program’s graduates in recognition of their successful completion of the training program. They extended their appreciation to all who contributed to the organization of the comprehensive training initiative aimed at enhancing the competencies of Ministry of Defense personnel and equipping them with essential knowledge and tools for success.
