Under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Education, Prof. Eisa Al-Balhan, the Field Training Center inaugurated the first educational career fair under the theme “Future Teacher: Between Qualification and Empowerment” at 11:00 AM on Monday, May 5, 2025, in the southern lobby of the College of Education, in the presence of a distinguished group of Kuwait University faculty members and representatives from educational, academic, and employment sectors both within and outside the university.
The fair, which will run until May 7, is considered one of the most prominent academic events aimed at connecting College of Education students—especially those expected to graduate—with entities related to employment and professional development for teachers, offering them the opportunity to explore leading initiatives and fields they can pursue after graduation.
Participating entities include:
• Ministry of Education
• Civil Service Commission
• Department of Special Education – Ministry of Education
• Kuwait Teachers Society
• Kuwait National Library
• National Council for Culture, Arts and Letters
• Arabic Language Association
• Public Authority of Manpower
• Meshrif Secondary School for Girls
• Al-Sharqiya Secondary School
• Graduate Studies Office
• Sabah Al-Ahmad Center for Giftedness and Creativity
• Field Training Center – College of Education
Dr. Sultan Mohammad Al-Sahli, Director of the Field Training Center, stated that this fair is the first of its kind organized by the Center and comes as an extension of its role in preparing and equipping education students to engage efficiently in the educational field. He added:
“At the Field Training Center, we are committed to holding practical, field-oriented, and employment-focused events that contribute to strengthening the professional readiness of student teachers, giving them the opportunity to engage directly with various educational institutions. This fair serves as a bridge between the university and the educational job market and reflects our goals in preparing the future teacher according to the highest standards.”
On his part, Mr. Jarrah Mutlaq Al-Qazzah, General Supervisor of the fair, emphasized the diversity of the participating entities, stating:
“Over the past few months, we have worked on organizing this unique event and creating a networking platform with institutions that will be connected to student teachers in the future, offering them a realistic view of their professional paths. We believe that a teacher is not formed solely within classroom walls, but through communication, experience, and exposure to the professional field. That is why this fair was created to gather everything an education student needs—tools, knowledge, and partnerships—under one roof.”
Al-Qazzah concluded by inviting all College of Education students to visit the fair and benefit from its events, and to engage in discussions with participating institutions to build a clear professional vision and learn all that is required for their future as educators.
