Prof. Al-Mailem: Kuwait University Is Committed to Developing Evaluation and Measurement Mechanisms in Line with the Latest Academic Standards
Kuwait University held the first-round of Academic Aptitude Tests today, Saturday, January 31, 2026, at Sabah Al-Salem University City. A total of 2,931 male and female students took the tests on this day. The available tests included English Language, Arabic Language, Mathematics, and a combined English and Arabic Language test, administered through both paper-based and electronic systems.
In this context, the President of Kuwait University, Prof. Dina Musaed Al-Mailem, inspected the progress of the Academic Aptitude Tests at their various locations within Sabah Al-Salem University City. She reviewed the mechanisms for organizing the tests and the workflow in the designated halls and laboratories, and met with students and members of the supervising committees. She was accompanied by the Assistant Vice President for Academic Affairs for Evaluation and Measurement, Dr. Suleiman Ali Al-Rafee.
During the tour, the President of Kuwait University affirmed the University’s commitment to developing its evaluation and measurement system in accordance with the latest academic standards, commending the efforts exerted in organizing the tests and preparing an appropriate environment that contributes to smooth procedures and high-quality performance.
With regard to the testing mechanism, the English Language and Mathematics tests were administered electronically in the laboratories of the College of Engineering and Petroleum from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. Electronic tests were also conducted at the College of Science in two sessions: the first from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m., and the second from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m.
The Mathematics test was conducted in paper form in the halls of the College of Arts from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m., while the Arabic Language test was held in paper form from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. The combined English and Arabic Language test was also conducted in paper form from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m.
At the conclusion of the tour, the President of Kuwait University expressed her appreciation for the cooperation of the committees and administrative units working at the test sites, affirming the University’s continued efforts to develop its evaluation and admission mechanisms in a manner that enhances the quality of its educational outcomes and achieves the highest levels of accuracy and discipline in the testing process.
