Kuwait University has officially won the bid to host the third Arab Network for Interprofessional Collaboration (ANIC) Conference, marking a significant milestone in advancing interprofessional education and collaborative practice across the region. The upcoming conference is expected to bring together health and social care professionals, educators, policymakers, students, and researchers from across the Arab world and internationally.
The second ANIC Conference was recently hosted in Abha, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, on 22–23 October 2025, under the theme “Bridging the Gap and Measuring Impact.”This followed the inaugural edition held at Qatar University, which laid the foundation for regional collaboration and capacity-building. The third conference in Kuwait is anticipated to further strengthen partnerships, highlight innovative models of collaborative practice, and support the development of future-ready health and social care teams.
On this occasion, Acting Secretary General of Kuwait University and Vice President for Health Sciences, Prof. Nourah Al-Suwaih, commented:“Hosting the conference at Kuwait University isa significant milestone and a testament to the shared regional commitment to collaboration, innovation, and improving healthcare services. We remain proud to support and stand alongside our ANIC partners as the network continues to grow and thrive.”
As part of the successful bidding process, Dr.Danah Al-Sanea delivered a presentation to the delegates participating at the conference in Abha, introducing Kuwait as the host country, highlighting Kuwait’s commitment to advancing interprofessional learning and collaborative healthcare transformation.

It should be noted that ANIC is a dynamic addition to the Interprofessional Global Confederation, contributing significantly to the global discourse on interprofessional education and practice through regional coordination, shared research priorities, and open knowledge exchange. Since its establishment, ANIC has fostered collaboration among academic institutions, healthcare organizations, and professional bodies, accelerating the momentum toward integrated and collaborative approaches to healthcare delivery.
