In line with its commitment to adopting innovative educational strategies by hosting experts from the Ministry of Education and the Kuwait Society of Pilots and Aircraft Engineers, The College of Public Health organized specialized training programs

As part of its ongoing efforts to develop students’ competencies and bridge academic knowledge with practical experience, the College of Public Health at Kuwait University organized a number of specialized training programs aimed at promoting behavioral and ethical concepts among students.

The college hosted Ms. Fatma Mirza, Educational Supervisor at the Department of Private and Special Education at the Ministry of Education, who delivered a training program titled “The Art of Building and Managing Habits.” The program focused on the psychological and behavioral foundations of forming positive habits, methods for managing them, and strategies to sustain them in both educational settings and daily life.

In a separate session, former President of the Kuwait Society of Pilots and Aircraft Engineers, Captain Ibrahim Al-Areej, shared his unique experience in the aviation field during an interactive meeting with students. He highlighted the importance of self-discipline, decision-making, and building professional habits that contribute to success and sustainability in high-stakes work environments.

On this occasion, Dr. Ahmad Salman, Assistant Professor in the Department of Public Health Practice, stated that these initiatives aim to bridge theoretical education with real-world applications. He affirmed the department’s and college’s commitment to fostering academic-professional integration by engaging specialized experts who enrich applied knowledge and expand students’ horizons in the field of public health.

He further noted that such interactive training programs contribute to the development of critical thinking skills and motivate students to comprehend public health concepts in a practical and realistic manner, commending the motivational approach of the guest speakers.

Dr. Ahmad Salman emphasized the significance of these programs in refining students’ academic and professional personalities, reflecting the college’s success in adopting innovative educational strategies that align with labor market demands and contemporary public health challenges.
