1. What is the difference between the Unified National Test and the Academic Aptitude Test?

All grade 12 students or their equivalent, as well as high school graduates wishing to enroll in Kuwait University or Abdullah Al Salem University, or majors of medicine or engineering in domestic and overseas scholarships.

All dates are announced on the social media platform (Instagram) account of the Center of Evaluation and Measurement.
5. What is the importance of the Academic Aptitude Test?
The majority of colleges in Kuwait University consider the Academic Aptitude Tests as one of the admissions criteria, as it is included in the calculation of the equivalent average that combines the student's GPA with the scores of the aptitude tests. Academic Aptitude Test results are also taken into account in some colleges for placement purposes only.
6. Is the Academic Aptitude Test mandatory for all colleges?
Yes, the Academic Aptitude Test is mandatory for all colleges, except for College of Science and the College of Law, who do not require the Academic Aptitude Test.
7. Can international schools' students apply?
Yes, international schools' students can apply for the Academic Aptitude Test.
8. Can a student enroll in Kuwait University without taking the Academic Aptitude Test?
A Student who has not taken the Academic Aptitude Test can only enroll in the College of Science or the College of Law, provided that their GPA meets the admission requirements.
9. Does the Academic Aptitude Test apply to Arts major students?
Yes, the Academic Aptitude Test is compulsory for all Art majors in Kuwait University, except for the College of Law.
10. Can a student enroll in Kuwait University register for the Academic Aptitude Test?
An enrolled student at Kuwait University cannot register for the Academic Aptitude Tests, except for the French test only if they wish to pursue a major in French.
11. Are there training courses for the Academic Aptitude Test?
The Office of the Assistant VP for Academic Affairs for Evaluation and Measurement does not offer training courses for the Academic Aptitude Test.
12. Is the score accepted for more than one major?
The Academic Aptitude Test score is accepted for all majors at Kuwait University, and for Medicine and Engineering majors in domestic and overseas scholarships.
13. What is the validity of the test scores?
The Academic Aptitude Test scores are valid for two years from the date of the test.
14. Is there a maximum limit on the number of times to apply?
The maximum limit for applying to the Academic Aptitude Test is three times during the academic year.
15. What should students do if they do not meet the required grade?
The Academic Aptitude Test can be retaken in the designated attempts during the academic year.
16. Which test score will be considered?
The highest test score achieved by the student will be considered if it has not exceeded two years.
17. What is the equivalent admission score?
It is the student’s high school GPA combined with the students' scores in the Academic Aptitude Tests.
1. How and where can a student register?
You can visit our official website Office of Assistant Vice President for Evaluation and Measurement | Kuwait University and click on the Aptitude Exams tab where you will find a link to the registration portal.
2. What are the registration steps in detail?
Log in through the registration system page by entering the full civil number in the username field and enter the last five digits from the right side of the civil number in the password field, the user page will open, and the registration instructions will appear, and then click on the (Register Tests) button to go to the student's information page. You must make sure that the information is correct and enter the required data (phone number, email, education system and school), then click on the button to complete the registration process to go to the registration page. On the next page, the number of required tests, test subject, test language (for mathematics) and the suitable date are selected, if a seat is available, the test will be added, then the regulations and instructions must be read, then click on acknowledgement and commitment. Payment is then made by clicking on the payment button to complete the registration process. After the payment has been made, you can print the admission ticket by going back to the registration page to view details of the test day. If there is no seat available in the required test subjects on the specified date, a screen will appear "No Compatible Tests" and you can try again and change the date to see which seats are available.
3. What method of payment is available?
Payment is through K-net only.
4. How does the student know if their registration is complete?
When the "Payment Successful" page appears, the registration is completed, and by clicking on the "Continue Registration" button, you can view the student's admission ticket containing all information related to the exam day, or you can login again to the user's registration page to print the admission ticket.
5. What can the student do if they entered wrong information during the process of registration?

6. Can the student cancel their registration and get a refund?
After completion of registration and payment is collected, no cancellation or refund is allowed.

Available test subjects for registration are Mathematics, English and Arabic. In addition to French which is available twice during the academic year.

Students can view samples of previous tests and test topics through Kuwait University’s official website, on the webpage of the Assistant Vice President for Academic Affairs for Assessment and Evaluation (Test Samples section), and then select the mathematic test.

6. What is the passing grade in the Academic Aptitude Test?
The passing grade for the English test is 60%. Whereas the passing grade for Mathematics, Arabic, chemistry and French tests is 50%.
7. How can the student find their test location?
After the completion of registration, the student can view all information related to the test on their admission ticket (date, time, location, and room number). In addition, there a link to the test location in the admission ticket, by clicking on the link the student will be directed to their test building.
8. Can the student choose the test location or change it?
The student cannot choose or change the test location.
9. Can the student change the test language?
During the registration period, the student can modify the test language by logging into their account and clicking "Edit."
After the registration period ends, the change requires a fee of 10 Kuwaiti Dinars. The student can still modify the test language by logging into their account and clicking "Edit."
1. When should the student arrive at the test center?
The student is required to arrive one hour before the test starts.
2. What documents are required on the test day?
Official ID with a recent photo (Civil ID, passport, driver's license, or Kuwait Mobile ID) and the test entry card.
3. What materials are permitted in the test room?
Pencil and eraser.
4. What items are not permitted?
All smart devices are not permitted (mobile phones, watch, earphones, Wi-Fi) and it is advisable to not bring any personal items.
5. What happens if the student is late or does not show up?
No student will be allowed to enter after the time specified on the admission ticket, and the test cannot be rescheduled or retaken if the student fails to attend at the specified time in their admission ticket.
6. Are there instructions for attendance and departure?
Students must arrive before the start of the exam to ensure early arrival and must not leave the test room without the permission of the proctor in charge.
7. Are there any cases that result in the cancellation of the students’ test scores?
All cases of cheating will result in the cancellation of the test score."

Students can view tests results through Kuwait University’s official website, on the webpage of the Assistant Vice President for Academic Affairs for Assessment and Evaluation (Exam result section), or through "Sahel" app.
3. Can the student submit an appeal request?
Appeal requests are accepted for one week only from the date of publishing test score.
4. Can the student retake the test to improve their test scores?
The student can retake the test in the designated attempts during the academic year.
