
Kuwait University, represented by the Center for Community Services and Continuing Education, organized a summer program targeting children aged 8 to 12, aimed at enhancing their skills and nurturing their creative abilities within an interactive learning environment. The program, titled “Together for a Generation that Creates Change,” ran from June 6 to July 31, 2025, at Sabah Al-Salem University City.
The program featured a range of educational and recreational activities designed to instill religious and social values, develop practical craft skills, and foster a sense of responsibility and innovation among children.
Among its highlights was a special workshop titled “Integrating Children with Disabilities into Society,” attended by Acting Director of the Center for Community Services and Continuing Education, Ms. Eitemad Al-Kandari, and Director General of the Public Authority for Disability Affairs, Ms. Wafaa Al-Muhanna.
Ms. Al-Kandari presented the summer program, outlining its goals and target group. She acknowledged the contributions of faculty members and supervising trainers from the Community Training Department, expressing her appreciation for their active role in delivering diverse workshops to the children. She also extended her gratitude to Ms. Al-Muhanna for accepting the invitation and attending the workshop, expressing her hope for the continued success of the program and its recurrence in the coming years.
In her remarks, Ms. Al-Muhanna expressed her pleasure in visiting Kuwait University to explore the Center’s experience and observe the summer activities offered to children. She emphasized the importance of the workshop, particularly the inclusion of sign language instruction, and thanked the university for its constructive and ongoing cooperation.
As part of the visit, a delegation from the Public Authority for Disability Affairs, accompanied by representatives from the Center, toured the facilities—beginning at the Center’s administrative offices, continuing through the College of Engineering, and concluding at the College of Life Sciences.
