
On the morning of Wednesday, July 2, 2025, Dr. Bader Ahmed Al-Jasser Al-Rajhi, Acting Secretary-General of Kuwait University, honored the staff of the Security and Safety Department and the Information Systems Center in recognition of their distinguished efforts in successfully implementing the digital records system project within the medical clinics affiliated with the Security and Safety Department. This initiative forms part of the university’s ambitious digital transformation plan.
Dr. Al-Rajhi emphasized that this project represents a strategic milestone aimed at developing the university’s medical clinics and elevating the standard of healthcare provided to the university community through the secure and modern electronic archiving of medical records. This approach reduces dependence on paper records, facilitates rapid access to health information, positively impacts performance improvement, supports environmental sustainability, and enhances the capability to accurately compile and analyze health data.
Mr. Mohammed Saud Al-Sulaiman, Acting Assistant Secretary-General for Facilities Management Affairs, noted that the project aligns with contemporary digital transformation trends and reflects the university’s commitment to advancing its technological infrastructure to better serve both academic and administrative operations.
He further highlighted that this recognition underscores Kuwait University’s appreciation and commitment to its human capital, stressing the importance of teamwork and coordination between departments and work centers to realize the university’s vision of building a progressive and sustainable digital future.
In conclusion, Mr. Yousef Yaqoub Al-Khamis, Director of the Security and Safety Department, affirmed the department’s paramount commitment to information security and data protection. Several security measures were implemented in coordination with the university’s Information Systems Center, including securing servers storing data, assigning access privileges based on roles and responsibilities, deploying real-time monitoring systems for any access or modification to records, and training nursing and administrative personnel on the safe use of the system.
He also expressed sincere gratitude to the university administration for the financial and moral support provided, which significantly contributed to creating a conducive environment for the success of this project.
